Fossil Wall Preservation Exhibit

Fossil Wall Preservation Exhibit

About 16 million years ago, Nagi Town and the surrounding areas were a coastal region at sea level.
Evidence of this is found in the sea snail (vicarya) and other animal fossils discovered in large amounts around this area.

Nagi Vicarya Museum was created as a place to preserve and display excavated fossils, allowing for visitors to become more familiar with natural science.
This important museum is filled with compelling exhibits such as a diorama recreating the time when this area was lush with mangrove trees, as well as cross section of rock layers exposing fossils of the natural environment, giving visitors the opportunity to feel like they are in ancient times.
